The journey is both a quest to find objects of power and also a quest to find out who Liliana is. She must reconcile her eight year old, normal self with the memories of lifetimes of being the most powerful magician/warrior Worthia has ever known. She has to balance her longing for home and the pain of missing her friends and family with the need to complete her quest and restore peace and stability to a whole world that is depending on her.
